Las Vegas's Decorative Concrete Specialists

Concrete Like New is a Las Vegas-based decorative concrete contractor specialising in epoxy and polyaspartic coatings, stamped concrete, pool deck resurfacing, cool decking, concrete overlays, staining, and polishing. We serve residential homeowners, commercial property owners, and industrial facilities across the Las Vegas Valley — from Summerlin and Henderson to North Las Vegas, Paradise, and beyond. Every project is built to perform in the desert: UV-stable products, heat-resistant systems, and craftsmanship that holds up when summer temps push past 110°F.

Who We Are

Concrete Like New was built around a straightforward idea: decorative concrete done right looks remarkable and lasts for years — but only when the right products are matched to the right climate and the right substrate.

Las Vegas is not a forgiving environment for concrete coatings. Sustained UV exposure, extreme thermal cycling, and surface temperatures that can exceed 150°F on an unshaded pool deck in July will expose every shortcut a contractor takes. CLN was built specifically to work in these conditions. We specify products — polyaspartic coatings, UV-stable overlays, heat-reflective cool deck systems — that are engineered for desert performance, not just aesthetics.

Our team serves three markets: residential homeowners investing in their properties, commercial clients who need durable, low-maintenance floors that meet compliance standards, and industrial facilities that require chemical-resistant, load-bearing systems with minimal installation downtime. Not many decorative concrete contractors work credibly across all three. We do.

The Person Behind the Work

Concrete Like New is owner-operated by Bert Metcalf. Bert brings hands-on experience in decorative concrete across residential and commercial applications, and built the company around the belief that premium results come from preparation, product knowledge, and attention to detail — not from cutting corners to win the lowest bid.

When CLN relocated to Las Vegas, Bert made a deliberate choice to focus the business entirely on decorative concrete for the Las Vegas market: the services that make the biggest difference in this climate, for the clients who value quality over the cheapest quote. That focus shapes every project estimate, every product recommendation, and every finished floor we hand over.

What We Do — and What We Don't

Residential services

include garage floor coatings (epoxy, polyaspartic, metallic, full flake), pool deck resurfacing, cool decking, stamped concrete patios and driveways, concrete staining, interior floors, and concrete overlays and resurfacing.

Commercial services

cover restaurant floors, retail and showroom floors, hotel and resort flooring, office floors, healthcare facilities, and auto dealership showrooms — any commercial surface where appearance, durability, and low maintenance downtime matter.

Industrial services

include warehouse floors, manufacturing and food processing facilities, automotive shops, and aviation hangars — applications that require chemical resistance, load ratings, and compliance documentation.

Why Las Vegas Requires a Different Approach

Most decorative concrete content on the internet was written for contractors working in temperate climates. The product specs, cure times, and warranty expectations it describes don’t translate directly to Las Vegas.

Here’s what actually changes in a desert market:

Standard epoxy degrades under sustained UV exposure. A standard epoxy garage floor that performs well in Seattle or Denver will yellow and chalk within two to three seasons in Las Vegas. CLN uses polyaspartic coatings as the default system for Vegas garages — they are UV-stable, cure in 24 hours rather than 72, and carry warranties that hold in direct desert sun.
Pool decks become a safety issue, not just an aesthetic one. An unsealed or improperly coated pool deck in Las Vegas can reach surface temperatures of 150°F or higher by midday in July. Cool decking — a heat-reflective, slip-resistant resurfacing system — is one of the highest-value upgrades a Las Vegas homeowner can make. It is also one of the most misunderstood: installed correctly, it genuinely lowers surface temperature rather than just providing a more comfortable texture.
Thermal expansion is real. Las Vegas concrete surfaces cycle through extreme temperature ranges daily in summer. Coatings that lack sufficient flexibility will crack, delaminate, or fail prematurely. Product selection and proper surface prep are the two variables that determine whether a coating lasts three years or fifteen.

We talk about this with every client before we provide an estimate. Product selection for the Las Vegas climate is not an upsell — it is the baseline.

Serving the Las Vegas Valley

CLN’s primary service area covers the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding communities:

We work with homeowners in master-planned communities in Summerlin and Henderson, commercial clients across the Las Vegas Strip corridor and surrounding business districts, and industrial facilities throughout the Valley’s logistics and manufacturing areas.
